Destination guide
Tall pines line paths beside the Mtkvari River, forming a forest belt around town. In this narrow river valley, Borjomi spreads around mineral springs and old sanatorium buildings. Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park rises behind town and offers marked trails through forest and open meadows. Some routes lead to wooden shelters, picnic clearings, and hilltop viewpoints over surrounding mountains. A small cable car climbs from Borjomi Central Park to a ridge above the valley. The mix of forest paths, riverbank walks, and quiet streets gives the town a naturally slow rhythm. At the spring pavilion, local families fill cups with Borjomi mineral water, tasting it fresh and strongly fizzy from the ground.

Leafy, faded, and very relaxed, Borjomi feels built for quiet cafés, easy walks, and one good park day, not late nights or hostel buzz.
Ideal for 1 to 3 nights, enough for a rest day, Central Park, and one solid national park walk.
Skip it if the trip needs nightlife, fast sightseeing, or strong social energy. If hiking does not interest you, Borjomi can feel too quiet.
