Destination guide
Cameron Highlands contains some of Malaysia's largest tea plantations on a cool high plateau in Pahang. Tea bushes form long lines across the steep, terraced slopes. Air here stays cool compared with Kuala Lumpur and other lowland cities. The climate and hill paths suit slow walks between tea fields and forest edges. Forest trails lead to waterfalls and simple viewpoints between the tea fields and nearby villages. Other paths connect with longer jungle treks toward wilder ridges. At strawberry farms, self-picking inside long plastic greenhouses becomes an easy little job that fills baskets fast. Boots tap on the raised boardwalk in the Mossy Forest, where mist hangs around bright green moss.

Plan 2 to 3 nights, enough for tea views, a few walks, and weather backup.
Skip if rain ruins your mood, hiking is not the point, or you want nightlife, pretty streets, and lots to do indoors.
