Jericoacoara lies inside a national park of sand dunes, and its steady wind turns the wide beach into a famous kitesurf spot. The village has sand streets and low houses, so every walk feels close to the dunes and the sea. Nearby Lagoa do Paraíso offers clear water and wooden hammocks that swing in the lake like simple water chairs. Buggy trips cross the shifting dunes to Pedra Furada, a natural stone arch where waves crash through the opening. With only sand streets and little traffic, life in Jericoacoara often moves at a quiet, slow rhythm. People climb Duna do Pôr do Sol to sit on warm sand while the sun drops toward the Atlantic beside the long dunes.

Plan 3 to 5 nights. That gives enough time for beach days, lagoon trips, sunsets, and some extra space for the slightly messy transfer in.
