Destination guide
Cool fresh water falls into wide blue pools where people jump from simple rope swings and swim below. From these tiers of Cambugahay Falls, Siquijor shows a quiet green interior of coconut trees and scattered houses. A small paved road circles the island and keeps the sea, hills, and villages always close together. Travelers often ride motorbikes along this loop and stop to swim at small beaches or visit old churches. Traditional healers still offer herbal and faith healing across the island. Because of them, Siquijor keeps a gentle mystical reputation in the Philippines. Off the shore, shallow marine sanctuaries give easy snorkeling with hard corals, seagrass beds, and bright fish. At Salagdoong Beach, concrete platforms stand above deep clear water where brave jumpers run, leap, and splash down together.

3 to 5 nights works well for the island loop, beach time, waterfalls, and a few reef stops.
Skip it for remote work, card-heavy travel, or big nightlife. Also pass if scooters feel stressful, especially in rain, dark roads, or curves.
