Destination guide
The party beach at Haad Rin sits close to quieter bays behind hills. On the eastern tip, the beach at Haad Rin hosts Koh Phangan’s famous full-moon parties with loud music and bright lights. Farther north, beaches such as Thong Nai Pan offer clear water and sand for slow days. Inside the island, jungle trails reach viewpoints and Phaeng Waterfall, where trees hide most signs of roads and houses. Concrete roads go up hills to viewpoints that show the sea on both sides of the island. Simple beach bungalows, yoga spaces, and small cafés sit close to the sand. At remote Bottle Beach on the north coast, sand and hills ring a small bay that stays quiet all day.

At a glance
Each area has its own mood, from loud Haad Rin nights to slow green northern beaches, with sunset crowds, yoga spots, and easy social energy.
Give it 4 to 7 nights, enough to split time between beach areas, viewpoints, and one or two party nights.
Skip it if you want cheap local island life, hate scooters, or travel in October to December when rain can wreck beach days.
